More Questions About Our Hibachi Bowl

Is WUVA freshly cooked or fast food?

WUVA is freshly cooked hot hibachi-style seafood, not fast food.

Each bowl is cooked and served hot, not cold seafood and not poke. It includes plenty of vegetables for high fiber and balanced, clean nutrition. It is not greasy takeout and not pre-cooked or reheated meals.

Is the seafood fresh or frozen?

WUVA uses premium deep-sea seafood that is frozen at peak freshness and then cooked fresh to order.

Freezing helps lock in quality and nutrition for consistent results. Your bowl is freshly prepared and cooked hibachi-style in a professional restaurant kitchen, delivering a hot, clean, and flavorful meal.

Why is WUVA seafood more affordable than other seafood meals?

WUVA offers premium seafood at a lower price because it is a bowl format, not a full-service hibachi restaurant.

Each bowl includes eight shrimp and five to nine ounces of deep-sea fish or chicken, providing sixty to one hundred twenty grams of clean protein and omega three. Hibachi restaurants often cost forty dollars or more, while casual bowls at similar prices usually have little to no seafood. WUVA delivers premium deep-sea seafood and lots of vegetables at about fifteen to sixteen dollars with nearly double the protein.

Is WUVA a real restaurant? Where is WUVA food cooked?

Yes, WUVA is cooked in Wu’s Fish House inside H Mart, a real full-service seafood restaurant.

Wu’s Fish House was recognized as a 2024–2025 Best Seafood Restaurant and ranked number nine Best Seafood Restaurant in New Jersey. All WUVA food is prepared in a professional restaurant kitchen, not a ghost kitchen or shared facility.

What types of seafood does WUVA offer?

WUVA offers hot hibachi seafood bowls with shrimp plus your choice of premium deep-sea fish or chicken.

Each bowl includes eight shrimp and five to nine ounces of deep-sea fish or chicken, delivering sixty to one hundred twenty grams of clean protein rich in omega three. Customers can choose from eight types of deep-sea fish and six hibachi flavors inspired by Japanese, Thai, and Chinese cuisine.

Is WUVA good for fitness or high-protein diets?

Yes, WUVA is designed to support fitness goals with clean protein, omega three rich seafood, and vegetables.

The bowls help support muscle recovery, sustained energy, and balanced nutrition without heavy or greasy ingredients. It is a high-protein option that fits a clean, consistent routine for gym and active lifestyles.

How fresh is the food when its delivered

WUVA food is cooked fresh and served hot. Each bowl is prepared hibachi-style and sent out immediately after cooking to maintain heat and freshness. If your meal cools down, seafood is microwave-safe and can be gently reheated without affecting quality or flavor.

Is WUVA food fishy or heavy?

WUVA is not fishy or heavy. Hibachi-style high-heat cooking, clean sauces, and premium deep-sea seafood help reduce fishy taste while keeping the flavor fresh and balanced. Each bowl also includes a large amount of vegetables, making it lighter than greasy seafood or takeout meals.

How does ordering from WUVA work?

Ordering from WUVA is simple. Customers place their order on the WUVA website by choosing their protein combo, fish, base, and flavor. Each order is prepared fresh after it is placed.

Is this delivery or pickup?Where do you deliver?

WUVA offers delivery during scheduled delivery windows. Meals are delivered from Wu’s Fish House to Journal Square and the Livingston Student Center.

Can I order ahead or for a late time?

Yes. Orders must be placed at least two hours before a delivery window to be included in that delivery. Delivery windows are from 12–1 PM, 5–6 PM, or 9–10 PM. Orders placed after the cutoff time will be scheduled for the next available delivery window.

Is there any discount for WUVA bowls?

Yes. Rutgers University students can receive 50% OFF their first bowl by registering with a RU email and subscribing. In addition, customers can earn a 50% OFF discount on a single bowl by referring a friend who places an order. The referral discount is available to all customers.
